Fall in love with this heart headband! ♥️ crochet pattern!


Heart headband pattern
Things you need:
•2 colors of any worsted weight yarn (I use red heart super saver) 

•H/5 mm Crochet hook

•scissors

•yarn needle

Things you need to know:

•how to crochet the “knit stitch” this stitch is a sc, but instead of sc in the top 2 loops, you will be putting a sc into the 3rd loop behind the stitch.
•Puff stitch : Yo, insert hook, yo again, pull through, yo and pull through first 2 loops. Yo, insert hook in the same spot, yo again and pull through, yo and pull through first 2 loops. Repeat 2 more times. 5 loops left on hook (total of 4 double crochet completed). Yo and pull through all 5 loops. 1 puff stitch.
•Ch 2 at beginning of row does not count as a stitch.

Glossary :

-ch: chain

-st: stitch

-sc: single crochet

-dc: double crochet 

-slst: slip stitch 

-sk: skip

Headband will fit teen/adult
Pattern: 

With your 5mm Crochet hook, 

Ch 78

Sc in 2nd ch from the hook and sc across, join with a slst into the first sc to make a loop. Make sure you don’t twist your work! (77 sc)



Row 2:
[beginning the knit stitch row], sc into the 3rd loop in the back of the first sc, sc in each 3rd loop of each sc stitch around. (77 sc)

Row 3:
repeat row 2 (77 sc)


Row 4:
now working in the 2nd loop (usually will read BLO[back loop only] ), dc in each back loop all the way until the end, be ready to join new color for next row. (77dc)



Row 5:
after joining new color, ch 2. Puff stitch into that same stitch. Ch 3. Sk 6 stitches, (puff stitch, ch 2, puff stitch) into next stitch. Ch 3. Repeat around until last ch 3. Complete last puff stitch into the same space as the first puff stitch. Chain 2, sl st and join into the top of the first puff stitch. Prepare to change back to the first color for the headband, cut and tie off heart color. (11 full hearts created around headband) 



Row 6:
join headband color into the ch 2 space, ch 1, sc all in the same space. Ch 2, sk 2 stitches from the dc row (row 4), dc in next 2 stitches. Ch 2, sk next 2 stitches and sc in the ch 2 space[in between the heart]. Repeat around. Join in sc in the beginning of the round. 



Row 7:
ch2, dc in the same space. 2 dc in next ch 2 space. Dc in each of the next 2 dc. 2 dc in next ch 2 space. Dc in next sc. repeat around join in first dc. (77 dc)
If you want to complete now with a single row of hearts, finish with knit stitch edging. If not:



Row 8:
repeat row 5


Row 9:
repeat row 6

Row 10
: repeat row 7

Knit stitch edging: just like in the beginning of the headband you are going to follow the same pattern and knit stitch sc around the headband. I did 3 rows of sc.
